Welcome to the SA Tourism Video Library
The South
Australian Tourism Commission take great pride in providing a well
managed and easy to use,
video resource facility for clients.
Each region has been editing down to the show off much of the area in
reels known as "Graded" or "Compiles". Generally, these tapes are between
20 - 35 minutes in length. A "Best of" reel is also available, which is
the highlights from the "graded" program.
"Graded Reels" Vs "Best Of"
Library Tapes
are edited in different versions.
The FULL version from a region can be found under
graded reels.
The
BEST OF the region, is an edited
highlights from the graded reel (above).
GRADED REELS
are the full vision from any given region.
Graded reels feature more vision from the region. For example, there
might be 3 different angles of the same shot, or supporting close ups for
the wide shot.
In more recent film schedules, you will also find "Demographic" versions
that repeat the same shot for different ages groups. e.g. Young singles,
family and Older couple.
BEST OF
is the "best of" the vision from the graded reels from each region.
More shots, including cutaways and close ups will be found on the FULL
graded reel.
Timecode
"Best of" time code is unique to
itself to ensure pre-roll is available across edit points.
Video Files
If you are looking at a shot list and the shot is highlighted,
then a video file (MPEG) is available to download and play. This may
assist with shot selections. Please note that vision clips are based on
the GRADED REELS and FULL clips may be displayed on the web, but only a
cut down may be available on BEST OF reels.
